Can you fly a drone over a prison or jail in Maryland?
Correctional facilities, statewide
Flying a drone over a prison or jail to photograph or record it is a misdemeanor without authorization from the facility or the state corrections secretary, and so is using a drone to deliver contraband to anyone confined there. Each carries up to 3 years in prison and/or a $1,000 fine. Facilities must post warning signs.
